Buckman Architectural Group, P.A.

Buckman Architectural Group evolved from its origins as a partnership created in 1988 when David W. Buckman joined Jeffery Silverstein, AIA. The firm grew quickly and became Silverstein Buckman Architects within a few years. Our expansion was fueled by our successful relationships with retail establishments such as Blockbuster Video and Nobody Beats the Wiz, as well as Fleet Bank, and large retail developers. Cheryl Kraft Buckman joined the firm in 1994, and in 1996, the firm merged with James S. Gaspari Architects, adding a staff with new energy and dedication, as well as years of expertise. In 2001, the name of the firm name was changed to Buckman Architectural Group to reflect the change in its leadership.

David Buckman actively participates in each project, usually from the start of site selection or design, and remains involved through conceptual design and beginning of construction documents.

Cheryl Kraft Buckman brings a unique perspective to projects that are expected to be constructed in a Design/Build manner, as she also serves as the President of our sister company, Concept Construction and Development Corporation. Cheryl plays a major role providing conceptual design, construction documents, and detailing as well as actual construction administration at the job site.

Along with David or Cheryl, each project team is supervised by a Project Manager with a minimum of fifteen years experience in the architectural profession. The Project Manager oversees the design team (which comprises draftspeople, consulting engineers, renderers and any other subconsultants) and is also responsible for communication between the client and the design team.

We feel it is important that the project manager and key members of the project team remain on the job from beginning to end. This provides consistency to the collaboration between our firm and the client in shaping the project from dreams and visions while determining the program through the progression of the job until the time of occupancy.

Our measure of our success is the volume of projects from repeat clientele. The quality of our work and ability to work well with people has led many of our clients to retain our firm repeatedly: over 65% of our projects are provided for repeat clientele.
